Welcome to Color Me WHIMSY's outfits of the week post. This past week the weather has been miserable in New York (so much snow, slush and ice). The weather has gotten me wishing for spring. I have heard reports of daffodils in London, but not a whisper of it here. As I sit here waiting for spring and thinking about my daughter's spring wardrobe, I thought it would be fun to put together outfits from the items we listed this week.
Here we have the Back Zipper Cotton Pants in pink (also in ivory, pale blue). I don't like to dress my daughter head-to-toe in "cringe" pink. Luckily for me, she is a bit of a tomboy, and very girly doesn't really suit her personality. I like her to be comfortable and have a tendency to dress her in a bit of a "boyish" fashion. Below, I have put together outfits that I think would look good on her. The pants are pale pink, so to offset this I chose stronger colors and patterns for the tops.
The Zippy Skinny Jeans. Great denim street-wear jeans for boys aged 1-8 (although I think some girls could rock these too). I love the prints on the sweatshirts as each one gives the jeans a different feel about them. Everyday, street-fashion outfits for sweet kids with rough edges :).
Another for the girls. We have a basic Everyday Spring Skirt. This is a staple item that can be rehashed for many different looks. I love it when I have an item I can experiment with. I love to discover how many different looks I can create with a basic item. In this case the skirt, by changing the style of top I can create a new look.
I hope I have given you some ideas to mix and match. To find these items and more visit http://colormewhimsy.com.
I will be adding new outfits each week, so be sure to visit us again.
Until then, have a good week.
